Fluorescent Tube Recycling

Mercury is a substance that continues to contaminate forests and rivers around the world, resulting in severe damage to our eco system.

In order to provide a solution for this problem, Arcon and MRT System provide you with the most comprehensive and complete solution for the recycling of mercury-contaminated products. These products include fluorescent lamps, batteries and electrical waste products.

THE RECYCLING OF MERCURY CONSISTS OF TWO STAGES:

STAGE 1 - SEPARATION

The materials from the mercury-bearing lamps are separated. This can be done with Compact Crush and Separation unit (CCS) or an End Cut Machine (ECM), depending on the application and quantity of waste to be processed.

STAGE 2 - RECOVERY

Secondly, the mercury is recovered from the waste materials by means of distillation.
For this process we supply a range of patented
MRT Distillers:

  • MRT Batch Process Distiller
  • MRT Continuous Process Distiller

Again, the choice depends on the application and quantity of waste to be processed.
